Deputy Manager Children’s Home   Leiston Suffolk IP16 

We require a Deputy Manager for our 4 bed home. Caring and supporting up to 4 young people.

 Our home is located in Leiston Suffolk close to Aldeburgh and Woodbridge which has a Good Ofsted rating.

The shift patterns are 3-11pm, 8am – 4pm, sleep-in 11pm – 8am, sleep-in rate £50.00.

The children we care for are aged 9-17 with Social, emotional, mental health, and behavioural difficulties.

Deputy Manager salary£32-£35k

An experienced deputy manager or senior care workers who are ready for their next challenge and looking to evolve.

Applicants should have experience of working with children who present behavioural challenges, possibly those with additional mental health and wellbeing needs.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of management of children’s homes, and the regulations that underpin our Ofsted registered service. They should be able to demonstrate that they can deputise in the absence of the registered manager and showcase excellent safeguarding practice.

• Recent experience working either as a Children’s Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker in a Children’s Home.

• Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).

Level 5 Leadership and Management (preferred)

• Full UK Driving Licence.

You will be required to be flexible in your hours supporting the children the staff and the Manager
