Senior Support Workers– Children’s Residential Home (Coventry) CV7 9FX

We are seeking strong qualified Senior Support staff for a 4 bed EBD (Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) children’s home located in Coventry.
This is an exciting opportunity to support a growing provision and shape the home.

You will be given huge support from the Deputy Registered Manager Responsible Individual and Owners.
Senior Support Workers £14.75 per hour
(5 shifts per fortnight) over a Monday to Sunday period.
You will be expected to sleep in after
Senior Support Worker Duties include
• Supporting and managing the staff team to meet the needs of the young person
• Planning each shift and ensuring resources are allocated appropriately
• Working with external professionals to deliver positive outcomes
• Providing supervision and support to staff in line with Quality Standards
• Supporting the young person to engage in education
• Ensuring their health needs are met
• Providing advice, support and guidance
• Managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention
• Administering and recording medication
• Maintaining daily records and administrative work
• Contributing to the care planning process
• Liaising with external stakeholders and our multidisciplinary team
• Attending mandatory training
• Engaging in team meetings
• Maintaining the home (laundry, cleaning, shopping, cooking, etc.)

Senior Support Worker Requirements
Please note applicants MUST meet the following requirements;
- Able to work Full time
- A full UK driving license ( preferred )
- Right to work in the UK (we do not offer sponsorship)
- An understanding that this role will require that you undertake Enhanced DBS checks
- You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins with full-time and part-time hours being available.
- Experience working and supporting 5-18 year old with EBD & challenging behaviour
- You will have some experience supporting children or young people with EBD.
- Seniors MUST have NVQ level 3 Children Residential plus 2 years Support Work experience(Children’s)
