Residential Support Workers and Senior Support Workers  required for Childrens Homes in Hatfield & Bushey Hertfordshire
We are currently looking for dedicated, caring Support Workers to join our teams in Bushey and Hatfield Herts.
Children are typically aged between 11-18 and experience anxiety, mental health difficulties , occasional emotional distress and EBD. They are supported by nurturing staff who provide them with the love and security they need to grow, develop and recover from past experiences.
We are looking for caring children’s residential support workers committed to providing our young people with a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment and being a consistent role model in their lives.
Salary for Residential Support Worker and Senior Support Worker 
 Qualified Support Workers £23000-£26000 depending on experience and qualifications. Full training and progression.
Support Workers Days 37.5 -40 hours per week
 0745 to 2000 Mix of 1 on 2 off 2 on 4 off  3 on 4 off
Senior Support Workers  £26000-£28000
Successful candidates for Residential Support Worker and Senior Support Worker will:

  • Support and contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of all aspects in the home including cooking, cleaning and finances.
  • Ensuring that the needs of the young people are being met and reviewing and recording changes to those needs.
Experience and  qualifications required for Residential Support Worker and Senior Support Worker
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification is desirable for Support Workers but essential for Senior Support Workers, training will be available and you will be expected to complete a diploma after probation if you do not have already.
  • Experience of supporting vulnerable young people within a residential care environment, or similar youth worker experience.
  • You will be compassionate, resilient, committed to being a positive role model and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Flexible and able to work a residential care rota which includes evening, weekends and holiday periods and some sleep ins.
  • Hold a valid UK driving licence.(essential)
